Seminars - DSI Meeting

In March of 2010, representatives from some of the largest association and independent show organization gathered together in Chicago to discuss the challenges faced by the event industry to manage data.  From these discussions, a goal to create an industry data management standard was established.

Co-Chairs Stephen Graham, Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Shawn Pierce, Hanley Wood have formed two committees – an oversight committee and a technology task force to define and solve this problem and present the solution to our industry.

On November 9, the oversight committee will host an industry education session inviting association members and show organizers to hear how this initiative will impact their organization.  An update on the EIF funding will be provided and the technology task force will provide the first deliverable.  All association and show producers involved in their own organization’s technology data management efforts are invited to attend this forum at no cost by registering.
